On Saturday, September 10th, at 9 a.m., Premier Cares Foundation will sponsor the second annual Prostate Cancer Walk, on the Walkway Over the Hudson. The Walk presents a meaningful sponsorship opportunity to support an important cause. The 2010 Prostate Cancer Walk netted $24,650 for local charities that were donated to the Dyson Center for Cancer Care at Vassar Hospital and the Cancer Center at St. Francis Hospital. The Prostate Cancer Walk presents an unmatched opportunity for community leaders, businesses, and individuals to provide financial support to those men and families affected by prostate cancer. It also represents the only men's health fundraiser in the Hudson Valley!

Prostate cancer touches almost everyone in our lives; it could be a father, son, uncle, neighbor, or colleague. One in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Over 200,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year alone, and sadly 32,000 men will die each year from this disease. Prostate cancer is one of the most curable types of cancer if diagnosed in the early stages. Premier Cares Foundation is committed to reduce prostate cancer and alleviate the pain from the disease.
