Leonard S. Gerber, D.P.M.

Dr. Leonard S. Gerber is originally from Bayside, Queens. He attended Rutgers University as an undergraduate and received a degree in Biological Sciences. He then moved an hour south to Philadelphia and attended the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. Here he obtained a degree/doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Gerber then moved six hours west to complete his residency in forefoot and rearfoot surgery at the Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh (At that time, it was only the only hospital in the country that performed foot surgery exclusively). After finishing his residency, Dr. Gerber was able to meet the rigorous standards to obtain board certification in the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and shortly thereafter board certification in surgery in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is currently on staff at both Mid Hudson Regional Hospital at Westchester Medical Center and Vassar Brothers Hospital here in Poughkeepsie. Dr. Gerber loves living in the Hudson Valley where he is able to take advantage of the world-class cycling and hiking. He also enjoys overseas travel, but values his free time to read and most importantly spending time with his family.
