Hundreds raise prostate cancer awareness

Prostate cancer survivor Tim Denman shared his story from diagnosis to recovery, inspiring others, Saturday, before lacing up his shoes and walking in the Sixth Annual Premier Cares Foundation Prostate Cancer Walk over the picturesque Walkway Over the Hudson.

He was one of hundreds to take the more than two-and-a-half mile round trip across the footbridge to raise awareness for prostate cancer. More than 450 people attended the walk, raising $72,000 to help Hudson Valley patients with financial challenges, who are battling prostate cancer and other urological and gastrointestinal diseases. The walk is held annually in September which is also known as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
