- Take warm baths three times a day for the next two days.
- Finish the antibiotics that you have already started.
- DO NOT take aspirin or any other anti-inflammatory products for the next two days. If rectal bleeding is noted, DO NOT resume taking aspirin until bleeding has stopped.
- Do not drink any form of alcohol for the next twelve hours.
- Call our office if you have any unusual problems due to the procedure.
- Drink plenty of fluids especially water.
- Blood may be seen in the urine for a few days. This is normal. However, if the bleeding is profuse, please call the office immediately.
- No heavy exercise for three days.
- No sexual intercourse for 1 week.
The results of your biopsy will be given to you at your 2 week follow-up visit with the doctor.
