In light of the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, we understand patients may be hesitant to visit a medical office, especially those with chronic conditions or weaker immune systems. Premier Medical Group’s Telemedicine program allows us to support our patients by providing convenient and high-quality healthcare from the comfort of your home.
Who should consider using our Telemedicine program?
All patients should consider utilizing this program, especially the elderly and immunocompromised. Additionally, anyone who may have had contact with a COVID-19 positive patient or otherwise suspect contracting the virus should use this service.
How does it work?
To sign up for a Telemedicine appointment please call your provider’s office. Our helpful staff will consult with your provider to see if you are a good candidate for Telemedicine. Once scheduled you will receive an email with instructions on how to access Premier Telemedicine using your mobile phone, computer, or tablet device (must be equipped with a camera).
During your virtual visit, you and your provider will be able to see and talk with each other in real time – so you can ask questions and have a conversation the same way you would in your provider’s office.
What if additional testing is needed?
If any additional testing is needed requisitions will be sent to a nearby laboratory or imaging center of your choice so that testing can be done with minimal wait time.
Does my Insurance cover Telemedicine?
Medicare, Medicaid and most major insurers have announced they will cover telemedicine visits the same way they would cover in-office visits. If your insurance carrier does not cover telemedicine you will be billed according to our patient self-pay fee schedule.
