The mission of Premier Cares Foundation is to provide support, education, awareness and treatment to those individuals in our community lacking sufficient funds to address significant urologic and digestive issues including but not limited to prostate and colon cancer.
Marlene Stang, a Hudson Valley native, resides in Newburgh with her husband, Robert Peterson. She has more than 25 years’ experience in the nonprofit field, specializing in fund development, event planning, marketing and volunteer management. Most recently she held the position as Marketing Director at Newburgh Prep Charter High School. Prior experience includes Vice President of Marketing and Development for the YMCA of Dutchess and Eastern Orange, and as Administrative Director of Development and Volunteer Director for the St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. In her spare time, Marlene enjoys being on the golf course and donating time serving on committees in support of local nonprofits.
A Hudson Valley native, Gia McCormack resides in Hopewell Junction with her husband Pat and two sons Jack and Joey. Gia is a graduate of Siena College with a B.A in Political Science. She began her career in development working for the United Way of Dutchess County as their Associate Campaign Director. Later for The American Cancer Society as their Relay For Life Manager. Gia has over 15 years experience working with volunteers, donors and large scale fundraisers. In her free time, Gia enjoys cooking, exercising and spending time with her husband and children.
Joanne was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY. She attended local schools and received her BA in Psychology from Marist College. Prior to joining Premier Cares Foundation, she worked for Prometric Testing Center in Poughkeepsie. She and her husband Joe, live in Hyde Park, where they raised their three daughters. In her spare time, Joanne, an avid N.Y. Knicks fan, enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her grandsons: Jack, Joey and Sonny.
