The mission of Premier Cares Foundation is to provide support, education, awareness and treatment to those individuals in our community lacking sufficient funds to address significant urologic and digestive issues including but not limited to prostate and colon cancer.
Amy Irwin has been named the new Executive Director of the Premier Cares Foundation. Amy, a native of Vermont, has called the Hudson Valley home for 8 years and has been working in the non-profit community for 5 years. In her previous position, Amy was the Director of Youth Markets Events for the American Heart Association of the Hudson Valley and worked with school districts in 7 counties. She has a BA from SUNY Albany and a MS from Sage College of Education. Amy resides in Poughkeepsie with her husband, Craig and her daughters, Bess and Anna.
A Hudson Valley native, Gia McCormack resides in Hopewell Junction with her husband Pat and two sons Jack and Joey. Gia is a graduate of Siena College with a B.A in Political Science. She began her career in development working for the United Way of Dutchess County as their Associate Campaign Director. Later for The American Cancer Society as their Relay For Life Manager. Gia has over 15 years experience working with volunteers, donors and large scale fundraisers. In her free time, Gia enjoys cooking, exercising and spending time with her husband and children.
Joanne was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY. She attended local schools and received her BA in Psychology from Marist College. Prior to joining Premier Cares Foundation, she worked for Prometric Testing Center in Poughkeepsie. She and her husband Joe, live in Hyde Park, where they raised their three daughters. In her spare time, Joanne, an avid N.Y. Knicks fan, enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her grandsons: Jack, Joey and Sonny.
