The Poughkeepsie Journal did a write-up on the Premier Cares Foundation Celebrity Chef Dinner.
Premier Cares Foundation recently hosted its fourth annual Celebrity Chef Dinner featuring master chocolatier, Chef Jacques Torres. The sold-out fundraiser of 230 guests was held at the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club. Torres worked with the culinary team at Cosimo’s Tratoria, to prepare a chocolate themed dinner, featuring chocolate infused in every course. Hestan Vineyards, Halftime Beverages, and Bread Alone provided many of the featured items on the menu.
After 10 years at Le Cirque Restaurant and 52 episodes on public television with his show “Dessert Circus,” Torres opened his first chocolate factory, Jacques Torres Chocolate in Brooklyn.
Major sponsors for the event included Entergy, Professional Radiation Oncology Services, North American Partners in Anesthesia, and Bioreference.
Proceeds benefit Premier Cares Foundation, a 501(c)3 charity providing support, education and treatment for those individuals lacking sufficient funds to address urologic and digestive diseases.
