Farmers markets are a nice way to help local farms, get a little fresh air, as well as some of the freshest produce around. My family and I stop at local farm stands whenever we can, and if your kids are anything like mine, they love the occasional treat. Farm fresh honey sticks can be a nice change.
This week we traveled to three different farm stands and made an outing out of it. We went hiking at Lake Minnewaska and after enjoyed the bounty of what our local farms had to offer. Strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes and peaches were just some of our Fresh Finds. (Sorry there weren’t more strawberries in the pic, my kids got to them in the car).
With having to endure so many months of quarantine it’s important to get out and enjoy the warm weather while we can. Spending time with our loved ones is a perk, and it also gives us just a little time to forget the troubles, whatever they may be, while focusing on family and living a healthy life. I truly believe what the signs say: we are New York Tough!
