Prostate Cancer Walk 2013 – A huge success!

Thank you for helping to make Saturday’s Premier Cares Foundation’s Prostate Cancer Walk such a successful event. The sun was shining, the views from the Walkway Over the Hudson were breathtaking, and the award winning Arlington Marching Band leading our walkers across the bridge, set the stage for a wonderful morning. We had over 550 participants, all enjoying morning refreshments while viewing the vast informative stations, such as The Men2Men Prostate Cancer Survivor support group, Ask the Doctor table, and the DaVinci Robot, where individuals could try their hand with the latest technology.

In addition to increasing awareness of Prostate Cancer disease, we had great success with regard to our fundraising efforts.   Together, we raised over $100,000 for financially challenged patients in our community in need of supportive services!

The funds raised at our Walk will translate to tangible assistance for patients to receive right away.  Our “Care” Fund helps with items such as transportation to and from medical appointments, medications, utilities, and even wigs.  Each and every one of you were an important link in the chain in helping patients get the help that they so deserve.

We truly appreciate all your support with our efforts. With your help and enthusiasm, this year’s Walk is one that we will always remember!
