Dr. Khurram I. Ashraf is board certified in gastroenterology. He studied medicine at University of New England. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship from Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island, NY.

Dr. Ashraf practices all forms of Gastroenterology and performs Endoscopic procedures in Poughkeepsie. He has a special interest in diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal malignancies such as pancreatic and bile duct tumors, and he specializes in Endoscopic Ultrasound and fine needle aspiration of tumors.

He is an expert in performing Infrared Coagulation for the treatment of hemorrhoids. Dr. Ashraf was in solo practice in Poughkeepsie for 5 years prior to joining the gastroenterology division of Premier Medical Group in 2005.

Dr. Ashraf was recently selected, by his peers in the medical community, to the prestigious 2021 Castle Connelly “Top Doctors” list.
